Meet Marlon Kuhl from Southern Potato Company.

Southern Potato Co., a fourth-generation family farm in Winkler, was founded in 1923 by Henry Kuhl. Today, it spans 6,500 acres, producing over 20 potato varieties and rotational crops. Keith Kuhl, who leads the operation with his sons Marlon and Jeremy, values the close-knit team and the evolving roles in modern farming, hoping to attract more youth to agriculture.

 Meet Tim Rook from Dufferin Market Gardens.

Nearly 27 years ago, Edith Rook started Dufferin Market Gardens while raising her seven children. The farm has expanded to 30 acres, growing kale, cabbage, zucchini, field cucumbers celery and more. Edith and her husband, Len, credit their success to hard work and strong partnerships with organizations like Peak of the Market Ltd.

 

Meet Peter Loewen from Garden Valley Vegetable Growers Ltd.

Garden Valley Vegetable Growers, a family farm in Manitoba, has been thriving for four generations. Peter and his cousins now manage 3,000 acres growing potatoes, corn, soybeans, and more.

Meet Lyndon Thiessen from Haskett Growers.

Haskett Growers, a fourth-generation family farm south of Winkler, grows potatoes for Peak of the Market Ltd., Old Dutch, McCains, and Simplot on its 3,000 acres, a legacy of C.E. Thiessen aimed at providing year-round farming opportunities for his family. Larry Thiessen, now running the farm with his brother, son, and four nephews emphasizes the importance of creating solid ground for the next generation.

Meet Scott Friesen from Snowland Vegetable Farms.

Snowland Vegetable Farms takes great pride in their hands-on approach to cultivating vegetables. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, they are passionate about growing fresh produce and take pride in showing it to help families make healthy choices. By offering locally grown vegetables, they encourage a lifestyle focused on fresh, healthy eating.

Meet Link Neufeld from W.J. Siemens Farming Company Ltd.

The W.J. Siemens Farming Co. Ltd. family enjoys the reward of harvesting homegrown potatoes each summer. Founded in 1959 by Bill Siemens, the fourth-generation farm has expanded significantly and includes co-owners Kelly and Bev, along with their families. They grow various potato varieties and crops, while overcoming challenges posed by extreme weather and valuing their dedicated employees.
